It has always been said that if a tool can successfully and repeatedly take samples from a Cricket Square it can generally take a sample from anywhere!
Originally designed at the BMS engineering facility along with Chris Wood of the ECB and used by the Cricket Pitch Inspectors of the IOG. This tool was called the “Impact 2 Soil Sampler”, it used the same principal idea as the BMS range of twin blade golf hole cutters, allowing users the ability to take cross section samples in the hardest and most compact of ground conditions.
In late 2014 this tool undertook a huge update to the design, adding new reinforcing points to the blade top and an overhaul of the supporting frame.
Pair of Spare blades also available.
