Handbooks and Charts

Pitches or sports grounds, when used for competitions or tournaments, are considered a regulation space. These regulated spaces must follow specific dimensions to be considered an official pitch for the sport in question. Spaces are regulated to ensure competitions played around the world are carried out fairly without factors outside of team composition affecting gameplay and results.

Our standard dimensions chart offers the key dimensions of all common sports pitches with a handful of less common sports included, with variations of pitches for sports including Rugby Union and Rugby League, Five-A-Side Football and Association Football.

Running Track Charts are also available in variations of 200m, 300m and 400m with necessary dimensions and information included for take-over distance points required for relay runners.

We also have an Arena Layout Chart available for set-up of an Athletic Arena. The Arena Layout Chart is a fully comprehensive dimensions chart incorporating current UK and international locations. Information is included across a multitude of events including running events such as sprint and hurdle, jumps such as pole vault, triple and long jump and throwing events such as javelin, shot put and discus.

While every effort has been made to ensure our charts are up to date with accurate information, regulations are prone to change and Sportsmark cannot be held liable for any inaccuracies.
