Rugby/ Football Pitch Construction

Artificial training areas, warm-up strips, and full size pitches are construced from 3G and 3G systems. These consist of 65mm pile polyethylene artificial turf which is filled with sand and rubber crumb. A special foam cushion shock-pad is normally placed underneath the turf. Some new systems also include a Nylon 'thatch' filling. Rugby pitch materials are supplied with extra-strength backing to absorb the extra stress caused by scrummaging.
